LivestockCoverage

LRP price coverage is not actually in place until a Specific Coverage Endorsement (SCE) is filed. This can be thought of as an addition to the basic LRP policy. Until an SCE is filed, no coverage is bound and no costs are incurred. Information required for a SCE include the number and type of livestock insured, the coverage price and premium cost for the coverage, and the end date of the SCE. When the SCE is filed, the policy holder must include full payment for the coverage at that time. USDA provides a subsidy that pays 13% of the premium cost for producers.
